2YEON NAJEONG

When they first met, Nayeon was about to turn 15 and Jeongyeon would turn 14 after a couple of months. They immediately became friends also with Jihyo, who had been in that company for 5 years already and had known Jeongyeon for some months. They’re referred to as “2-yeon” because their names end in “yeon”. They’re also called “na-jeong”, easily the mixing of the initials or “ssang yeon” (from Korean “쌍“, which means “double”/“pair”). Nayeon and Jeongyeon (together with Jihyo, former trainees Minyoung from SIXTEEN, Cecilia and Lena, the two latter later replaced by Sana) were supposed to form “6mix” but their debut was cancelled. They later joined SIXTEEN by JYP and became part of TWICE (together with Jihyo, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu).
